EPISODE 3

’ÄúThe Wedding’Äù

SCENE 1 - JAKE’ÄôS APARTMENT, INTERIOR - DAY

We are in Jake’Äôs bedroom, he’Äôs asleep and the phone rings. He reaches for it without getting up. It’Äôs his buddy Jose calling,

JOSE - ’ÄúYo Jake, get your ass out of bed, let’Äôs go play some ball.’Äù

JAKE - ’ÄúI can’Äôt man, my buddy’Äôs getting married today and I’Äôm the best man.’Äù

JOSE - ’ÄúDude, weddings are the best!’Äù

JAKE - ’ÄúYeah, good point. Today might not be so bad after all...’Äù

CUT TO:

SCENE 3 - HOTEL, INTERIOR - NIGHT

We are at the wedding reception, the room is full of people either sitting at tables, standing in groups talking, at the bar or on the dance floor. Jake is standing by the bar with a drink, surveying the room and trying to decide what his next move will be. As he looks around, his choices become more clear. To the left is the table of bridesmaids, including the lovely Maid of Honor. To the right is the Bride’Äôs mother giving you the eye as she sips on her martini. Approaching you is the Groom’Äôs little sister who has a crush on you and directly in front of you is the Bride (your ex-girlfriend from college), motioning for you to come over.

Your first decision is who to approach:

IF YOU CHOOSE THE MAID OF HONOR:

You go over and ask her to dance.

JAKE - ’ÄúSo I’Äôm pretty sure it’Äôs required wedding protocol that the Best Man and Maid of Honor have to dance.’Äù

MAID OF HONOR - ’ÄúI thought you’Äôd never ask..’Äù

The two of you hit the dance floor, she is pretty drunk and stumbles a bit.

When the song ends she wants to get another drink. Your next decision is whether to go over to the bar and get another drink with her or try to get her to go somewhere more private with you to tell her not to marry your friend, but you instead.

If you choose to go to the bar for another drink,

M.O.H. - ’ÄúI’Äôm ready for another drink, how about you?’Äù

JAKE - ’ÄúYeah I could use a drink.’Äù

Cut to the bar where they order another round of drinks.

M.O.H. - To the bartender, ’ÄúCan I get another vodka tonic and whatever she’Äôs drinking,’Äù she points to Jake.

JAKE - ’ÄúJack & Coke man.’Äù

She gets the drink and as she is turning around one of the Bride’Äôs maids bumps into her. Her drink spills down the front of her dress and she attacks the other brides maid. A screaming cat- fight ensues and Jake walks away.

Fade to black, dead end.

If you decide to try and get her to go somewhere more private with you,

You have to decide how you are going to do this. Do you use the straight-forward approach and tell her that you love her.

If you choose to tell her your real intentions,

JAKE - ’ÄúLet’Äôs skip the drink baby, I need to tell you something.’Äù

M.O.H. - ’ÄúOh yeah, and what might that be?’Äù

JAKE - Leaning close to her, ’ÄúI love you’Äù, whispering in her ear.

M.O.H. - ’ÄúYou scum, she slaps you and storms off.

You’Äôre left standing on the dance floor looking like an idiot.

Fade to black, dead end.

If you decide to trick her into going up to her room,

JAKE - ’ÄúLet’Äôs skip the drink baby, I got something else in mind.’Äù

M.O.H. - ’ÄúOh yeah, and what might that be?’Äù

JAKE - ’ÄúWell I was in such a hurry this morning that I didn’Äôt have time to wrap my wedding gift and I was wondering if you could help me?’Äù

M.O.H. - ’ÄúSure, where is it?’Äù

JAKE - ’ÄúIt’Äôs in my car but how about I meet you in your room in five minutes.’Äù

M.O.H. - ’ÄúO.K. But hurry, I don’Äôt want to miss the bouquet throw.’Äù

Cut to the hotel room door, Jake knocks and we are inside the room.

JAKE - ’ÄúHey, nice room.’Äù

M.O.H. - ’ÄúNot bad huh? But they didn’Äôt give us the key to the wet bar.’Äù

JAKE - ’ÄúThat’Äôs too bad.’Äù

M.O.H.- ’ÄúYou know what I really want is a drink.’Äù

Your next decision is whether to offer her a drink or deny her.

If you decide to give her the drink,

JAKE - ’ÄúIt just so happens that I have some Vodka.’Äù

She gulps the bottle down. Cut to a few minutes later and the girl is passed out on the bed, Jake is looking down at her,

You turn and walk out of the room.

Fade to black, dead end.

If you choose to not give the girl the Vodka,

You end up trying to tell her how you feel about her. We see Jake sit down on the bed,

JAKE- ’ÄúHey baby, why don’Äôt you sit down for a second.’Äù

M.O.H.- ’ÄúI thought you said you had a present that you had to wrap.’Äù

JAKE- ’ÄúOh, I forgot to get it out of the car.’Äù

M.O.H.- ’ÄúI need a drink, we should...’Äù

As she says this Jake stops her.

JAKE- ’ÄúYou can’Äôt marry Dave, he’Äôs really not such a good guy.’Äù

M.O.H.- ’Äú Your supposed to be his best friend.’Äù

The maid of honor gets up off the bed and storms out. Jake is left sitting on the bed.

Fade to black, dead end.
