Editing Multiple Frames

Editing multiple frames is a wonderful tool. It allows you to select any number of frames in a timeline and move, rotate, scale, and align all the part on those layers simultaneously.

It can be a bit hard to use. It involves selecting things in a specific order.

1. Then select the onion skinning button

2. Set the frame length markers or choose select all from the modify onion skin marker button.

3. Lock down any layers that you want to stay put.

4. Select the edit multiple frames button.

5. Now select all (command-A /control-A or edit/select all.

6. Move, scale, or rotate your elements.

Flash 5 and earlier: Sometimes the select all does not work and you only move one frame. If this happens, press command-z/control-z or edit/undo to undo the move and press command-A/control-A or edit/select all a second time.
