With Imageready and Fireworks you can easily convert to JPEGs, GIFS, and PNG files.

In Photoshop:

1. Open an image in Photoshop.

2. Change it to RGB mode if it isn't in RGB already. Image>Mode>RGB

Photoshop 5.0-5.5:

3. Choose File>Save As

4. In the dialog box, select PNG.

5. Name your file with the PNG extension.

6. Select Adam 7 to create an interlaced image.

Photoshop 6.0 and up:

3. Choose File>Save for Web.

4. Select the png option in the optimizing choices in the panel to the right.
