Exporting Gifs, Photoshop 5.0-5.5

1. Create an RGB image at 72 dpi

2. Choose File>Export>GIG89a

3. Optional: Click the transparency index box to create transparency

4. Optional: Click on the interlacing option to have your image appear gradually. This makes the file smaller so you should use this. It also gives someone something to look at when it loads.

5. Click the preview button to see how it looks.

6. Click ok

7. Enter a short name for you file and add the extension .gif

8. Hit save.


Exporting GIFs Photoshop 6.0 and up.

1. Create an RGB image at 72 dpi

2. Choose File>Save For Web

3. Select GIF options in panel on right.

4. Save the file with the appropriate extension for your chosen file format: .gif.
