Inserting a Table: Layout View
You can draw layout cells or layout tables and then draw the cells later.
1. Insert a Table. Either choose Insert>Table or select Layout from the Insert Panel.
2. Make sure you are in Layout View by selecting the Layout button. Your table should say "Layout Table" on the top of it.
For drawing cells:
2. In the insert panel, click on the draw layout cell button and click on the page where you want to draw your table. You cannot draw over text or images.
Click on the draw cell button to draw cells inside the table.
